shadow is what poeple call a civilized mobian, mobians who are adopted and raised by humans. he wants to follow his adopted father, gerald, in his footsteps and became a scientist. when he is researching something he gets endangered en saved by a wild mobian called sonic who seems to like shadow a bit to much as his hormones and instinct are telling him to make this hedgehog his mate.

Shadow and Sonic find themselves to be the only two left after a series of attacks. They set off to find the one responsible, but what they don't realize is that their real journey has yet to begin.
