Well, first thing I noticed was the lack of spacing in-between paragraphs. That whole thing needs to change in future chapters or in future stories. It's not that it makes your work bad, it's just visibly unappealing and it will turn off almost every reader. Not to mention the fact that I had a hard time keeping my place because everything was so smooshed together.
As for your writing itself, it's all right. Honestly, I've read better, but that doesn't mean I don't like it. A newcomer's tip that really helped me out when I started writing was this... avoid phrases like "he said" or "she thought". They're redundant. For example, in this chappie you wrote the following...
"Nightmares." Tails said with a sob.
Now, I think that that phrase was all right, not badly written. But it sounds... boring, in a way. Now, I'm going to change a few things around, and try to make it sound more appealing, more emotionally engaging.
"Nightmares," Tails lowered his head and hugged his arms tightly to his chest, tears freely falling from his face. "It was horrible..." His voice was little more than a whisper.
See? See how that makes the whole situation more engaging, makes you feel like you were more there? I described the whole thihg without using "he said" or anything of the sort.
But other than that, I've got no real complaints about the story. I'll keep reading, and I'll probably post a review on the next chappie too.
