That good enough for ya? Or do you need more?

Do you want specific names? Names of what the games change too with the Lock-On tech and with Knuckles?

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 becomes Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 becomes Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

And the hack which makes Knuckles playable in Sonic The Hedgehog is called Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog.

He's already playable in Sonic and Knuckles, and as I've said, He's not playable at all in Sonic 3-D Blast.

You even want to know the history behind the Lock-On technology?

The "lock-on technology" was actually a way of making up for the fact that the developers of the Sega Technical Institute could not meet the deadline for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Originally, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was to be released with Knuckles as a playable character, and with all the Sonic & Knuckles levels playable (the level select screen in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 features inaccessible Sonic & Knuckles levels and music for said levels can be played in the sound test). Time constraints forced them to split the project in two, releasing Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with the completed levels and continuing work on the uncompleted ones, plus adding the "Super Emeralds" extra bonus games, and the lock-on gimmick. Indeed Sonic the Hedgehog 2 had once run into similar problems, resulting in the original Hidden Palace and several other levels being removed.

That's what the Lock-On was for, now how much more detail do you want me to go into.

But ya know what? That's it. I'm right, and I know I'm right.

Author's Response: You emailed me, and you were right in the email, i already told you that ya won. Nice demonstraction, and very good. In dealing with the original, hm..., problem on what you posted here, not the email, is that you failed to mention that Knuckles is playable on the Blue Sphere minigame. Again, you won, so check your email!! Actually, I sent you the email prior to you posting the first of your rants. Good rants though. *PS It is nice to know

I... I'm wrong?

I'm wrong...?

You're saying I'm... wrong...?

Alright then...

You want the story? Let me spin it for ya quick!

Knuckles was originally playable in Sonic and Knuckles, which was made in 1994 for the Sega Genesis. The game features a unique technology called Lock-On technology that allowed Knuckles to be playable on other Sonic Games. These game are, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, which turns it to Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and allows you to play the game through as Knuckles (often referred to as the "complete" version of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 by Sonic fans).

Sonic the hedgehog 2, In which knuckles is also playable. These two games access Knuckles through the immediate technology, no other devices or hacks.

There was no way for Knuckles to be put into Sonic 1, due to the color palates not being extensive enough. however, a modification has been made which allows Knuckles to be playable with all of his abilities by using several different reds in the palette.

If the Lock-On cartridge is put on anything else, a minnigame called Blue Sphere plays, rather than a game itself.

He is not playable in Sonic 3-D, Only Sonic himself is playable, and only a few sprites of Knuckles were made for that game.

So let's see, Sonic 1, no, (Yes, if you count the mod), Sonic 2. Yes. Sonic 3. Yes. Sonic and Knuckles. Yes. Sonic 3-D. No.

There! Now, go ahead and tell me I'm wrong, these are all true and can be backed up with facts and evidence.

So... what's it gonna be...?

Author's Response: I told you, you were right, check your email sillY!

The only game where Knuckles is playable without any add-ons is Sonic&Knuckles. He's not playable in Sonic 1 or 3d Blast, and Sonic 2 and 3 require lock-on technology. :3

Author's Response: Wrong, thanks for reading!! (Cute smiley!)

Author's Response: Oh, I thought I didn't respond to the first one...They both appeared the same. You are correct to a point. For correction, your orignal would have been correct to a point, but not the answer I was looking for. Correct Answer: Sonic & Knuckles Sonic 2 (Must be locked on to Sonic & Knuckles) Sonic 3 & Knuckles* *The most often used title in the combo version of game.

The only one where Knuckles can be played without ANY add-ons is Sonic&Knuckles; the others all rely on Lock-on technology. :3

Author's Response: Wrong, thanks for reading!!! (Cute Smiley)

I'm sorry, I mean Sonic and Knuckles, S3&K is the special game. My mistake.

So Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Sonic and Knuckles.

Author's Response: Wrong. Thanks for reading!

Decent Way to end it.

And the answer? Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

Correct?

Author's Response: Wrong. Thanks for the review, and I agree.
