Hello Tarenea, I just wanted to let you know that the only reason i check my e-mail 5 times a day is to see if this story has updated. As you can guess, when I saw this last night at 10:30 I knew that tommorrow`s classes were going to be painful. I ignored my headache and tired eyes and read. And cried. And realized after every scene how much of an amazing story this is. I will forever be a fan and this story and your skill in writing will forever be my favourite, I just really want to know if this is the end of it. I am still in denial that they are gone forever, and i will not allow it until I know that this is how you intend for it to end. I am not trying to persuade you to change the events of the story(although I am still hoping for a happy ending), but just expressing my continuing love nearly a year later. I have a few thoughts as to what I think will come next, if there is anything still to come, so i am on edge not knowing. My point is ; Thank you for continuing to write this story.

Ah, I am happy with the way this turned out. I feared that Shadow would be all "I'm going to rip your ass!", but you made him "I don't wanna hurt you..." The reason of my "DON'T MAKE SHADOW DOMINATING AND HAVING ALL THE ADVANTAGES!" was because of that fear. I usually see that in many fanfictions and I despise it. Thank you for going for the best approach. I love you for that ^_^.

Author's Response: O.o I wouldn't ever do THAT! I prefer my Sonic happy, I would never do anything to him that caused permanent harm or anything.^^° Like the other 'punishments' in this story, you'll notice he always gets off lightly. I much more like writing him when he is a tad annoyed or embarassed (or, well, scared at the most) by any of the predicaments I put him in, *real* Sonic torture is not on the cards – and if he ever gets hurt, you can expect him to take it, but without breaking down – rather swearing revenge. ;) Plus, Shadow in this story has been written way too nice and in love by me to ever seriously hurt Sonic again, all he has is a tough exterior and a big mouth. :P (And, of course, the possibility to tear holes into any and all who think they should try and threaten Sonic...) Well, the problem is that Shadow has too much of an advantage. Big size, experience, age, and Sonic being chained to a wall. What next, All seven Chaos Emeralds to make Shadow go super? URGH! I hate Shadow being the stronger character!

Author's Response: Yup, Sonic is chained up. That's kinda the shtick of this story. But otherwise... *Sonic and Shadow are expressly described as both the exact same size *Sonic is older – Shadow is only *technically* over 50 years old, in here he's barely seven and Sonic teases him occasionally about it *Sonic so far got just as much, if not more scenes where he could and did kick ass – the dancing, sword fighting, taking out the slave hunters and nearly breaking Drago's hip spring to mind... - so much that people complained *Shadow* wasn't doing enough. *The one time Sonic and Shadow actually brawled, Sonic was winning before they broke it off *Sonic is not exactly passive since he *instigated* the whole lemon. Seriously, just because somebody decides to play 'catcher', that doesn't make them 'weak'. It's just one of several possible ways they chose to have fun tonight, s'all. They're equal partners.
