Unfortunately I think what's kind of putting me off on the story so far is that the characters don't seem to be ringing true. Sonic is supposed to be an Alpha, but not only does he get his tail kicked several times in the story, all within the same day it seems like, but he also has tunnel vision. I understand he's under pressure, but he seems to be acting rather out of character for Sonic, and the explainations you give don't seem satisfactory. He backhanded Shadow, and then Shadow felt bad about that? Something about that doesn't seem to ring true to me, considering Shadow has quite a bit of an ego and is extremely prideful. I was halfway expecting Shadow to nail a stake in Sonic's heart, especially after seeing that grizzly scene in the forest. But right after that he ended up cuddling up to Sonic at night?
