Prop Giving

Okay guys, its been a while since I had a fic awesome enough to make my Featured Story list, so I wanna give a shoutout to Takashi the hedgehog, longtime member and writer on FSC. Not only does Takashi (he? she? I have no clue) have great storytelling skills and grammar, heshe takes the time to review almost EVERY SINGLE Sonadow fic submitted to the site, be it bad or good, and offers constructive criticism to help them improve on their story and/or writing skills.

Like many writers, Takashi does have the tendacy to fall into the trappings of cliched story-telling, such as the much overrated depressing ending of "Show Me...", and sometimes we get the far misses of a story like "Simple as Life" due to horrid interjections of crossovers (holy mother of god, is this the same person???). But Takashi has pefected a formula which I am rather fond of with the writing of "My Black Shadow" and has earned a spot on a featured stories list, something I haven't awarded since "Manipulated Love" OVER 3 YEARS AGO!

Takashi is the breath of fresh air that the community needs, after the string of god awful fanfics up until now. There had been some fair fics few and far between, but Takashi finally rises to the occasion...Aliens and MPREG maybe a cliche, but its a cliche that I can live with, considering that MPREG isn't that common on here.

Oh and I love twisted, nasty Sonadow fics (that are well written) in case...y'know, anyone was curious....-exit, stage left-

NEW RULES AND SUGGESTIONS

Okay folks, lets face it:

The Sonadow fanfics are full of crap, and there are people who are NOT HELPING. As of right now, I added a new rule: NO SCRIPT FICS. ITS A PIECE OF CRAP and a WASTE OF SPACE.

Second, a number of suggestions I would say are the following:

Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Cut down on the 'high school drama' and the 'humanized' Sonadow stories? Its getting overdone, and it strays from the orginal Sonadow stuff that most fans associate with. Another thing: Can you STOP POSTING 100 word chapters? One paragraph, a chapter it does not MAKE! Most good writers spend at least a week or two to write a decent-sized chapter before they upload it. "But it took me 5 whole minutes to write!" or "Well I only had 5 minutes to write this before I could post!" DOES NOT CUT THE COOKIES! If you only had 5 minutes to write....SAVE AND WORK ON MORE LATER, but DO NOT POST IT ON THE SITE! This is annoying the crap out of the rest of us! Thank you and goodnight!

NEW FANFICTION CHALLENGE!

Fanfiction Update

I know a lot of you guys have been having issues with the fanfiction section lately, and most of the problems SHOULD be fixed now. However, I would like to say that fanfiction users are SEPERATE from forum users, and you MUST register to use FSC.

SHADOW'S FANFICTION CHALLENGE

Hey guys, I know its been a while, but I feel that I needed to post a challenge and stir up something.

I was just going through FF.net and it makes me a sad puppy to see that there are people accusing that there are never any GOOD written SOnadow fanfics. Well, I know we got some EXCELLENT writers here, but I think its time for a real challenge, and show the world what we Sonadow people are all about:

The Challenge

Write, perferribly within the storyline of the Sonic games or Sonic X, an adventure that focuses on the very real possible way that a relationship can spark between Sonic and Shadow, with the story ending on a deep relationship level. Bonus points are awarded for orginality, history conflict (like Shadow's relation to the Black Arms), ICness (Emotional Sonic is okay, awesome even, but PLEASE don't overdo it), emotional depth (angstiness), plot (The Black Arms are back?!), and relationship level results (COOKIES FOR LEMONS! COOKIES FOR LEMONS!).

No deadline for now (I know how hard it is to be creative), but I WOULD like to see SOMETHING get started on FSC within the next month or so. (Not to mention posting on FF.net and showing how wrong those Sonadow flamers can be!)

A Note on Story Stealing

Stealing other people's work is NOT permitted here on Sonadow Online. Someone had informed me tonight that someone by the name of Ghostwriter stole their work, and I confirmed this, so they were deleted from the site. I will NOT TOLERATE matereal stealing whatsoever!

Just a reminder

The Halloween Contest will be meeting the deadling in a matter of days! If you're currently working on a submittion then HURRY!
